Homecoming Carnival, 2005

October 27 & 28, 2005

We may have been judged as some prize.  They still haven't decided yet.

The mostly empty carnival area where we will set up.

On the first day of setup, things looked kind of sketchy.

See, Shakespeare had been delayed. Our stage flats were still in the theater waiting for our Hurricane dates of Nov 4 & 5.

The Carnival was in danger! Luckily, David had an idea - use a tent he had just purchased at a garage sale.

We didn't know if it had all the parts, if it were rain proof, or really how big it was for sure.

However, following our troupe motto of "Think later" we forged ahead.

Stephen was skeptical at first, but we won him over.

Erin and Meredith were also both underwhelmed.

David's plucky spirit, and "50 Cent" bilng he picked up ironically at a dollar store for $1.00 (not $.50) won the day.

That and amazing spray-painted stars that allegedly would glow in the dark. (They didnt.)

Johora and Dez B were like - "Hey, a little aluminum foil, some stars, it'll work."

Dez F and Heather, here pictured trying alternate methods of suntanning were thrilled, too.

Brandon would later bring a unicycle, but first he had to make sure a rope was straight. It was.

See that wind? It would later become our enemy on Day #2.

The big flurry of action before the 1st day of the show. (To be continued!)
